oh right guys welcome to the stoney ridge farm channel if this is your first time here please jump in pound that like button i'd love to have you back subscribe to the channel got all sorts of fun stuff we're building a first generation farm here in the foothills of the blue ridge mountains and part of that is maintaining keeping up stocking and taking care of the ponds on the farm so these ponds are used for irrigation these ponds are used for watering the cows these ponds are used for fishing and recreation and general beauty here on the farm so we've got an ecosystem in each pond this pond has catfish in it channel cat the other pond has bass bluegill some grass carp and some catfish in it also and the upper pond which we'll visit last we're going to visit all three ponds today it has catfish in it too and the catfish are really really growing and really thriving because i've used this stuff okay so this is called pondchamps aqua blue now you guys are probably all driven by ponds before and seen some crazy weird atomic blue green color this is not that okay this makes your pond look kind of like ocean water and it clears up your pond and it helps establish a better ecosystem and it helps to kill algae so we're going to get a good close-up look at some nasty algae that's in this pond i have not treated this pond in about a year and a half and i have treated both of the other ponds and you're going to see a huge difference in the clarity of the water and the quality of the fish when we get up to the upper pond so what this is this is the least expensive die and again i have not been paid by this company this is something that i use you can buy it there'll be a link down the video description below it's called ponchamps aqua blue now for a pond this size basically what we're pouring in is about a one gallon container which costs around 20 to 26 bucks per acre of water okay so this is about three quarters of an acre we're going to put
