What Is This Little Cover Next To The Gear Shifter On My Car???

What happens here

To access the shift lock release button, first select a flathead screwdriver. The presenter uses a 'six-in-one' screwdriver. To prevent any scratches or damage to your car's interior trim, it is highly recommended to wrap the tip of the flathead screwdriver with a protective material, such as painter's tape or electrical tape. Once the screwdriver is prepared, carefully insert its taped tip into the small slot or opening located near the 'P' (Park) indicator on the gear shift console. Gently pry the small plastic cover upwards until it pops out, revealing the actual shift lock release button underneath.
