Securing Deck Boards with Face Screws

What happens here

Secure the installed deck boards by driving screws through the face of the boards into the deck joists. When using face-mounted screws, it is best practice to secure the center of the board first. This prevents the board from buckling or lifting at the ends, especially with composite materials. Once the center is secured, then fasten the ends.

Goal: Fasten the deck boards securely and evenly to the joists.
