Tricks for Installing Composite Decking!

What happens here

After the majority of the deck boards are screwed down, use a method to compress them further. For composite boards installed with stowaway clips, which are not fully set by initial screwing, use a scrap piece of wood and an impact driver to push the boards tightly together. Position the scrap wood against the edge of the boards and drive screws into the joists through the scrap piece, effectively pushing the deck boards closer. This eliminates any remaining gaps and ensures a tight, professional finish.

Goal: Achieve a tight, gap-free fit for composite deck boards.
