What happens here

The team continues to fill the excavated space behind the retaining wall with gravel, which serves as both drainage and part of the reinforced soil mass. This gravel is spread evenly behind the block layers and over the geogrid, then compacted using a plate compactor. This process is repeated for each course of blocks and geogrid, creating a strong, stable, and well-drained structure. Additional soil is brought in by the Kubota skid steer to backfill the area above the gravel layers, shaping the final grade.

Goal: Complete the backfilling process and prepare the area behind the wall for final landscaping.
