The First SnowPlow of the year

What happens here

The video concludes by reflecting on the challenges of the first snowstorm of the season, highlighting various equipment failures and issues encountered: a skid steer engine seal failure, a backhoe that wouldn't start due to cold, and multiple plow breakdowns. Despite the setbacks, the experience is framed as a valuable learning opportunity, preparing the team for future, larger snow events. The importance of these 'baby storms' for training and identifying weaknesses in equipment and processes is emphasized.

Goal: Review lessons learned and prepare for future snow events.

[Music] well we're glad to have the first storm of the Season behind us because we had a lot of things we just weren't ready for we put the tracks on the kitty cat but then the cat skid loader basically started to overheat and we found out that we lost a seal on the engine so that has to go into caterpillar and they say they can't even begin to look at it for three weeks so we're gonna be out that loader for at least another two weeks or more before they even get to it we didn't have the proper tracks on the Kubota so it was a slip and slide for Zach we did end up losing the pump on the short iron back plow but then shortly later we lost the transfer case on another one of the pickup trucks then the entire four-wheel drive blew out on us the tlb tractor loader backhoe never did fire up and get running properly because it was just Pro solid so this snowstorm was a fail it was an utter fail a lesson learned and that's excellent because that sets it up for us
