Changing Skid Steer Tracks
At 1:15 in
The First SnowPlow of the year
What happens here
The team needs to change the tracks on the ASV RT-75 Posi-Track from 'dirt tracks' (standard all-season tracks) to 'snow tracks' for better traction in winter conditions. First, the skid steer is positioned with its front bucket and rear attachment (presumably a plow or another tool) slightly raised to gain some clearance. Two people then manually pry and pull the heavy rubber track off the drive sprocket and idler wheels, rotating the track as needed. The old track is then set aside and a new 'all-season track' is prepared for installation. They will lift the back of the machine onto boards to gain clearance for the new track installation.
Goal: Replace dirt tracks with snow tracks on the skid steer.
