Backfilling and Compaction for Retaining Wall

The CITY left one BIG Mess!
What happens here
The Kubota SVL 75-2 compact track loader repeatedly scoops fill dirt from the main pile and drives it to the area behind the retaining wall, dumping it in controlled lifts. Following each deposition of soil, a worker operates a Wacker Neuson BS60-4 vibratory plate compactor, making several passes to achieve maximum compaction. This technique builds up the soil in stable layers, which is essential to prevent future settlement and ensure the structural integrity of the retaining wall. Geotextile fabric is already placed behind the rocks to aid in drainage and soil retention.
Goal: The compact track loader transports fill dirt from the main pile and distributes it behind the retaining wall. A worker then uses a vibratory plate compactor to thoroughly compact these layers of soil, ensuring stability for the wall and the new ground level.
