Testing a Snowrator UNLIKE anything YET. New for 2022

What happens here

The Boss Snowrator features a Kohler electronic fuel injection (EFI) V-twin engine, providing 26.5 horsepower for increased power to run various attachments. The control panel is intuitive, featuring left/right steering, forward and reverse controls, and hydraulic levers for accessory lift and lower functions. A push-button throttle, ignition, and light switch are also present, along with a display to monitor fuel gauge, oil temperature (hydraulic and engine), and high-flow settings. This design allows for single-hand operation while driving.

Goal: Familiarize with the Snowrator's engine, controls, and display.

so design basically knew from the ground up are we running the same power plant as the old snow raider no so that was the biggest thing is we needed more power to run the broom and the blower okay so we got a v-twin uh right now we're developing an engine with kohler that's efi electronic throttle body so 26.5 horsepower is that what this one is running yep that's what's in both an efi 26 horsepower kohler so that's the same power plant as on the multiforce if i'm remembering right yeah and we've and tell me walk me through the options that we got with this one will you see i mean i see the salt spreader on the back on this uh and this one so this is a bolt-on option it looks like yeah it's actually that's kind of just how it drops on so you don't have to ride around with that thing on all night long worrying about banging into uh post office boxes or signs while you're doing it you can pop that bad boy on at the end of the shift you get all your sidewalks done and then you then you go down and you consult it so it's not hanging and danging dangling right okay makes sense so then uh we wanted to keep that on the front uh like our current snow raider so drop spreader you said steve yep so that's mounted up here so right now that one's bolted on we haven't developed a quick attach for that yet but okay so as we look at the two units we've got a bare bones unit over here this drop spreader on the front is the unit he's talking about right here it looks like it bolts on with four main bolts right there here's the framework without it on so you can see how that adds right onto the front of that machine and how that looks not and on we got a v-plow it's a four four two uh we'll have two straight blade options a four and a five foot um with optional wings as you can see installed there yep four foot broom and a four foot snow thriller okay let's do it let's take a look at it action's pretty pretty simple just got left and right forward and reverse um as far as the hydraulics for the accessories this is lift and lower so lift is actually basically pushing down on that try to make it so you can do it while still driving you know so you can have one hand there operate everything without having to feel around and reach around for every every specific control and then these are basically your their your low flows so like as attached to the v-power you're going to have your left and right wings you've got your throttle as i said it was electronic throttle body so it's…
