that six amp hour stacked lithium battery speed two and turbo mode is on right now pop it right back on the back we're gonna watch it oh you missed it wait you didn't have to pop it out right at my face hey you won't knock your teeth out when you use our tools yep that's the biggest one they make tap the button and it's ready to go this time i'm gonna do it one-handed [Music] all right good morning you guys we're at lowe's and the reason we're here is flex has 27 not brand new tools coming out coming down the pipeline we're going to be checking out some of those today they also got a brand new battery lineup which i'm actually kind of excited about because they're making some outrageous claims and we're gonna test those claims we're talking about they're saying two hundred percent not not like two or twenty percent or ten percent two hundred percent more power three hundred percent more runtime i don't know we're going to find out for sure from the guys inside of here we're going to meet up with a couple of the guys from the flex lineup we're going to check out all these new tools and see exactly what they got going on so let's just go check it out right now hi are you matt i'm matt nice to meet you man nice to meet you i'm stan good to see you yeah tyler and jack here and i'm zach zach yes sir nice to meet you zach yeah how's it going tyler valentine tyler nice to meet you um all right guys before we start doing any demonstrations or look at any of the tools or anything like that there's something that i kind of want to just get out of the way is these extravagant claims of 200 more power 300 percent more runtime yadda yadda yadda what it can you just kind of walk us through this and yeah you want to do it zach for sure yes 300 longer battery life 200 more power and then 100 faster charging and 100 cross compatibility so all this new technology coming out will work with all these pre-existing flex tools so it's not like it's a new platform you're good you're with flex 24 volt we got you covered for sure okay so is this different than the traditional lithium ion so we're still using the same technologies lithium ion but this is what's called stacked lithium so instead of the cylindrical lithium ion cells we're all familiar with and used to here in our traditional batteries this is moving into a pouch cell and those are you know they've been around for a while they're in cell phones they're in laptops but we're taking it and making it so it can be used in power tools so you're using cell phone technology in a power tool and that's not not been done before not so much cell phone technology just the pouch cell which is still lithium ion okay okay yeah so we got our stacked lithium in here the pouches all right so they're gonna be stacked up and so that's going to deliver the more power and kind of make a simple analogy here if you think of these traditional cylindrical cells and you got one way in for your power think of that like an on-ramp for like a highway then you have one lane for your electrons your energy to flow through and then one offering okay okay so one way in one lane one lane or one off-ramp and that's your energy flow your electrons your cars on the highway okay so what stack lithium does is now through you get into it the tabs that we have welded on here how we designed it all the testing whatnot we have multiple 4 8 12 on ramps we've got eight or so plus lanes and again this is just you know an analogy here and then we're gonna have you know eight to twelve off ramps so now we have so much less resistance in the actual pouch cells and so those energy the electrons are going to flow so much smoother through here less resistance so you have this longer run time all right the energy's flowing more frequently so you just have it running in parallel now where before it was all going down into one bottleneck now you've got five lanes of traffic open for this thing to go and that's where your power run time and chart and the faster times come in exactly and with all those extra on and off ramps again there's just no resistance or less resistance in the battery all right because that leads to your overheating so these are going to take much longer to heat up and that's again due to less resistance which is going to increase your run time okay so all right so matt you've got some tools that nobody in this store can see can we show them now we can definitely show them okay just for you all right let's go let's go back well not for me it's for these guys yes no none of this is there's no way in heck you guys would fly from wherever the hell you came in just to show me some tools this is for these guys some awesome awesome new products right this is the first one up right it's our seven and a quarter rear handle circle saw right this will be coming with our stacked lithium technology really it's going to be an awesome product i can't wait for you to try it out i just want to lift it yeah that does not look that heavy it's not all right so even with the battery and i mean that's not a heavy piece of equipment and it cuts one of the the phrases we've heard is it cuts like you're using a laser beam when you have the stacked battery in there i can't wait to show it to you over here you want to try it out yeah do you want to try no i don't want to try out a super cool new tool that cuts like a laser beam do you have a shark with lasers on your head in the back too because you know don't pull them out i want to see that all right so let's just let this do a full cut don't cut don't edit don't switch let's just i want to hear this saw run because we should be able to hear a difference i'm going to guess yeah all right so let's hear it and see it i noticed you kind of went in and out i mean this thing had no problem even with even with my terrible uh yeah you got worse saw khan skills than i do which is not saying much because i suck at it put me in a loader any day of the week i'll do much better um and again the big big value of the stack lithium here is you're sustaining that peak power for so much longer so i mean this guy's gonna be rated for about 720 cuts on 2x4 uh with the stack lithium and whatnot i'm just obviously just with that one yeah okay rpm it's a bad saw real quick before we get too far down the pipeline when is that when's the saw coming out when's the circ saw coming out that rear handle it's coming out uh late april hey now will this new battery technology improve the performance of even the old tools it will yes again being able to draw more power across the board so yes okay so just by grabbing a new battery guy a guy can experience 200 more 300 longer battery life 300 longer battery life but will he get the power gains you'll definitely get the power gains again the big feature about the stack lithium ion batteries is the fact that we're able to maintain that peak power for longer duration stan this is uh this is one of our newest uh products here right our one-handed recep saw it's a super smooth product and that comes from the the vibration suppression technology that we've got in this we also have this in our current receptacle as well this just takes it makes it a little more ergonomic for that user to use in tight spaces again actually if you if you'll come over here take a look we've got just a few screws in there oh okay and yeah we got obviously got that looks like you got one two three four five in there okay we've got the wrong blade on here so we're gonna change that out but oh what was that that's actually our oh that wasn't set up or not so it definitely was definitely was what's the worst thing about cutting with a recep saw is the blade's hot after you you get done so that allows you to release the blade without having to touch it when it's tight i didn't think about that yeah uh-huh so this is what uh you know with nails blade and again another easy thing just put it in it's already stuck it's already set you don't have to you don't have to set nothing pop that out one more time will ya oh you missed it well you didn't have to pop it out right at my face [Music] i bet that would cut even better if you put the guard right up against the board too because that you had it off just enough just enough yeah i mean because you weren't even right up tight with that maybe it's just me but i know some of these guys some of you guys would call that out so i wanted to call that out try it again try it again put the guard straight up tight against that one so i just want to see how well let's get it yeah let's get it clamped down and let's let's let's uh put a few screws in there too oh we're gonna put more screws in yeah we're almost moving on to the next tool and zack's like well do you want to try it one hand i'm like yes i do zach we're here for the common man okay we're here for the people all right well i would never do that in real life but it's good to know i could if i wanted to we still got screws in there uh literally though yeah oh yeah we still got oh one two three we still got seven screws in there i didn't even realize how big is this bit uh this is going to be in uh 3 8 inch auger bit um spider we don't currently make one right now okay i'm not saying you're not going to happen in the future but again that 6 amp hour stacked lithium battery um 1920 watts being outputted speed 2 and turbo mode is on so we are going to get engaged with here [Applause] do it again so what we did is we switched this around because he was going to make a second cut over here um now we will put this one on but we switched it around because this one's got one knot two knots so no matter what you're doing now you're gonna be going into a gnarly naughty situation yep again it's on speed two turbo engaged uh we're gonna let her go speed to turbo engage so just [Music] you buried it to the hill i buried it i put that right on top i want to see yep you went right through them pressure treated 4x4 like nothing like nothing that was like freaking butter it's the power stuff it's the battery isn't it it's all in the battery what we've found in our research is that the number one pain point number one you know indicator that customers want a product is if it has the power to get the job done and that's what we're trying to deliver with stack lithium okay all right so we're gonna test out the impact let's test it out irwin oh here we go take a spider any day inch and a quarter is that the biggest one they make punch in the corner yep that's the biggest one they make this time i'm going to do it one-handed uh and i'm actually not going to use a lot of pressure pretty awesome all you got to do is just tap the button and it's ready to go you keep touching it trying to pull it out but it's really designed for one-handed easy bit change right which is great i'm glad you like that thing but i'm just gonna tell you right now just the fact that how well that just cut through there i've never i've never touched a tool in my life that performed like that i will go on the record book saying that right now and i will if you watch my videos and if you guys watch my videos you will never hear me hardly ever say anything good bad or in between about a tool that's not my job i don't get excited about them my job is just to show the tools in operation to be as unbiased and in the middle as i possibly can but in ever in my life if i ran a tool they cut just like that did or drilled i don't care use your terminology to me i just cut right through that like a hot knife through butter that's the power step lithium yeah what do we have here uh so we have a 5 8 uh decking screw here hex 3 8 head okay my turn your turn my turn same bolt same hole same everything why am i able to do it one-handed though shouldn't i be getting a lot of torque should i be getting a lot of kickback i mean it's not safe to do it but i'm noticing like with that there's no way in heck i would have ever attempted to do that one-handed under any normal circumstances no matter what because i'd have been worried about losing my pearly whites right so none of that occurred i didn't notice any of that what's going on with this we actually have antique effect technology right so if i'm drilling [Music] automatically it turns off if it kicks so you have that you do have that built in yeah built in to our drill not into our impact because you really don't need it uh in the sense that again the torque is more controlled wait wait are you telling me so this is a technology map that i've seen on hammer drills on the big when we're when we're core boring into concrete sure i've seen that because that'll bust that'll that'll leave permanent damage right you're telling me that that same technology's into that absolutely i talked to contractors daily that say they wish that their tools currently had that feature on it why did you not even mention that we're just used to that kind of innovation yeah for sure but it is such a pain point i would have thought you would have maybe led with something like that i don't know hey you won't knock your teeth out when you use our tools no that's not something you want to mention that tool should be always designed for not knocking that right hey do you guys got a dark room we could all go in together yes i do okay that sounded really bad so we have here something brand new to the market this year it's gonna be our tower light now i know a lot of other competitors have tower lights out in the market um they don't have the features that we do right so uh right here right off the bat and then these lights three panel lights itself you have uh close to 360 degree rotation as far as the panels themselves go and then this thing extends up all the way to seven feet and so uh one cool feature i like to point out about this tool itself though um it's got right here down low where you can put in the battery as well as you can put in um a standard uh cord right there so it can go corded or uncorded oh you can plug it in right there okay that makes sense yes sir yeah so let's get a battery in here new 10 amp stacked lithium battery going in right now unlocked you can adjust your light to be overhead as well as you have the panels here how many lumens is that 4 000 lumens on this setting here i can't even get the regular lights to turn back on because yours is too bright like i'm over here pushing it and it won't come on so turn that off once let me see if i can get these to come on all right so now that's the that's the light lights and ready yup and that's the same you know let there be lights in there and these won't come on now until you turn that off that's how bright that is yeah four thousand lumens and on our traditional five amp hour battery i want to say two and a half hours of run time on that four thousand lumens with our traditional five amp hour batteries that's not the stacked lithium at all that's again our standard cylindrical lithium ion cells yeah but what are you getting with this the stacked a lot longer run time of that uh max 4 000 lumens i mean with that 10 amp hour stacked lithium in there it's going to run all day pretty so but features don't end just there though you have as well your led uh battery indicator right here just press that button another cool thing cool feature we have as well is usbc charging compatible so just plug in your usbc cord right there you can charge up your phone then finally uh again cool little spot for your phone itself there so this right here my favorite feature of the tool itself you can actually take off this light itself it'll slide right off and then take the battery that you have from the light pop it right back on the back here you have rafter hooks in case you need to say hang it up top or say you just want to set it down somewhere got the raptor hooks and then your power button here so you can still flip through the settings as well your light goes with you yep portable light portable power wherever you need it one of the sales associates got to get his hands on that uh drill with the long auger and i want to get his take on it his name is cameron there he is see if i can get cameron excuse me sorry hey hey cameron hey can i ask you a question you got to try out that long auger drilling right into the end of the wood uh yeah through the same same way i did okay that was your first time trying it out right what did you think of it it was powerful was it as powerful as it looked on camera yeah it did it looked as easy it went through it like it was nothing so him and i were saying it's almost like it's there's a trick to it yeah because it's that easy yeah it goes through it like easy and the chips are really fun you don't have big chips going through when it comes to chips coming out yeah and then it goes through so easy so there's no trick to it
