Spray Techniques & Tips Using An Airless Sprayer. Paint Sprayer Tips.

video tip. We're going to go over the proper process in spraying an exterior garage door. I'm using a Graco 695 sprayer set at 2200 PSI. I'm using a Rack X 515 tip. And during this process, what you want to watch is the speed of my gun. And the overlap, I'm doing what I call a 50% overlap. So, as I'm spraying up and down, I'm moving over 50% of the pattern. That way, in effect, it's actually getting two coats of paint, and it covers the garage door in one sweep down the garage door. And the speed that I'm going is the proper speed to get the paint to gel out. Gel out properly so the door looks like a professional did it. When I'm spraying, I also like to go from top to bottom of the door and spraying. You'll see, versus from right to left. And if you go from right to left in to end of the door, you got to walk back and forth. And that walking causes a more uneven spray pattern. So keep an eye on the spray technique. This is a quick tip on spraying exterior garage doors. This also will apply for spraying the body of the house. Also, I do the same speed and the same overlap while I'm spraying the body of the house.
