Getting ready to prep the gutters. We're going to be painting them today and we're using the Titan 440 I airless sprayer with a Rack X fine finish Graco tip. We're putting cardboard shields in the gutter to keep any overspray off the roof. And our first step is going to be to actually spray these gutters with a primer, a bonding primer prior to spraying them. You always want to spray the metal surface with a bonding primer, especially gutters, cuz about 10% of them will actually crinkle and peel if you don't prime them. And so we're going to be priming them here shortly. And then about an hour later, once the primer's dry, it's a fast drying oil primer, we'll actually spray them with our top coat exterior satin super paint with Rack X310 fine finish tip. One really light coat of our bonding primer is all you need. Just one quick coat. You don't want it too heavy or it's going to run. So, this is what our really light coat of oilbased bonding primer. We're actually priming the house cuz it has wax bleed. We're priming it with an oil-based primer. So, we just go ahead and spray our gutters at the same time with the oilbased bonding primer. If we're not priming the exterior siding because of wax bleed, we actually just use a waterbased bonding primer. It makes the process a little bit easier and easier clean up. Here's a look at the primer sealer that we actually use on the exterior of the house for our gutters. It's a oilbased alk resin based primer for interior exterior use. Now spraying the top coat on the gutters. The bonding primer has had time to dry now. It's been several hours top coating our gutters with Sher Williams exterior satin super paint. Ow.
