Replacing Kitchen Faucet In RV For a Friend!
What happens here
Clean the countertop surface thoroughly before installing the new faucet. Take the new faucet and its accompanying deck plate (Wewe brand shown, with integrated foam gasket). Ensure the foam gasket is properly aligned on the underside of the deck plate. Position the new faucet into the sink hole, aligning the deck plate. From underneath the sink, secure the faucet by hand-tightening the large plastic nut provided with the faucet. Once hand-tight, use channel locks to gently snug the nut, ensuring the faucet is stable but not overly tight. Check from the top to ensure the faucet and deck plate are straight before fully tightening. The integrated foam gasket is designed to create a watertight seal without the need for additional silicone or plumber's putty.
Goal: Place the new faucet into the sink hole, ensure its deck plate is correctly seated, and secure it from underneath the sink.
