What happens here

This project addresses two common issues with washing machine drain hoses: preventing them from popping out of the standpipe and stopping them from banging against the wall during drainage. The solution involves using a simple zip tie to securely attach the drain hose to an existing supply line, providing stability and eliminating unwanted movement.

So we got a new top loading wash machine. We got sick and tired of all the build up and always having to leave the door open in a small space with our front loader. I was pretty happy overall with our install. They did install the braided flex supply line that I supplied, which I love, but they did not hook up the zip tie to keep this drain secured, so it doesn't pop out of here. So another thing is when the wash machine goes to drain, this hose is banging right here. It's putting a scuff mark on the wall that my wife don't like. I'm gonna grab a zip tie right here that they never put in. Attach it right to your supply line. Give that a good little tug. And look, bam, that's good. That ain't coming out of there. Grab a pair of snips, make that look pretty. That's good to go.
