They Missed a BIG Step on Our Washing Machine Install!

What happens here

The video highlights two primary issues with the newly installed top-loading washing machine's drain hose. First, the drain hose is not properly secured into the standpipe, making it prone to dislodging during the powerful drain cycle. This could potentially lead to significant water leakage and damage in the laundry area. Second, when the washing machine drains, the unsecured hose bangs repeatedly against the adjacent wall, which has already started to create unsightly scuff marks. This indicates an incomplete installation, as the installer failed to utilize a simple zip tie, which is a common practice to secure such hoses.

and always having to leave the door open in a small space with our front loader. I was pretty happy overall with our install. They did install the braided flex supply line that I supplied, which I love, but they did not hook up the zip tie to keep this drain secured, so it doesn't pop out of here. So another thing is when the wash machine goes to drain, this hose is banging right here. It's putting a scuff mark on the wall that my wife don't like. I'm gonna grab a zip tie right here that they never put in. Attach it right to your supply line.
