Replacing a Titan 440 Pump Filter. Repairing a Titan airless sprayer.

This is Chris, the Idaho Planner, with another quick and simple tip. Replacing the the filter housing on a Tit Titan 440 that's been related to some pressure issues in the gun spitting. This is Chris, the Idaho Painter, coming to you with another quick tip, and that's using a Titan 440i. Today, we've been using this pump. We've been getting a little bit of spits with the gun, and sometimes the spits could be related to a pressure issue and not getting enough pressure to the gun itself. And on this unit, we got a Titan 440. There's an actual gun filter and then there's also a filter inside the pump and that sometimes can be related to your pressure. If those filters get clogged, you cannot get enough pressure to your gun which will cause spits. So, I've got another video discussing spits. This one is going to be related to changing your filters. And we got a Titan 440. There's an actual filter right here on this machine, and you're going to want to check that filter. And if that filter is clogged, that definitely could be causing a lack of pressure to your gun, which will cause your gun to spit. There's also a gun filter inside this gun. We'll show you this on a later video, and that's actually chaining changing the gun filter. So, there's two filters you want to check. One of them's the pump filter, one of them's the gun filter. On the Titan 440, you're just going to take and get a wrench, and we're just going to unscrew this filter off of here. And to loosen it up, now we've got the pump filter housing off. And here's your pump filter. And to release this pump filter, you just turn it clockwise. And that pump filter will unscrew right there. And this is a Titan 440 pump filter. This is a pump filter. We just cleaned it. This thing was extremely clogged, but there's still a lot of debris down inside this filter. So, we're actually going to put a brand new filter on it. We got a brand new filter, exact same color, same type of filter. We're going to screw that filter in and then put our pump back together and see if that's related to our pressure issue. That's it. We got a ourselves a new filter. We're going to be putting in a finer mesh filter in this in this manifold here. So, we're going to screw it in. You're going to be screwing it counterclockwise to tighten it. I'm going to tilt it upside down. Turn on the water the gun. Make sure it's functioning. Now I'm going to screw the filter housing back in. The filter housing tightens going clockwise. You don't want to overtighten that. So, just get it nice and snug. Set it back up. You want to turn it on. Check it for leaks. [Laughter] There's no leaks. So hopefully that's related to our pressure issue and our gun spitting.
