Repair Your Slow Draining Bathroom Sink In Easy Steps!

my friend asked me to come over and check out something I was washing my hands and I noticed this you can see it starting to fill up it does drain you can hear it but I guarantee it can drain better hey folks that fix it guy here and today I've got a common drain issue that happens in bathrooms all over the world so come along let's get to [Music] [Applause] fixing well first thing I did was look down in the bottom here and I saw a what is that I saw a drain weasle and a drain router we're going to undo that popup bar right there and we are going to pop out the the drain all we're going to do is spin this counterclockwise and remove this bar just unscrew that and then just pull this whole thing out oh yeah I feel it's gnarly let's just get that get that out way that look a little funky monkey right there get some gloves out you might want those let's clean that off right there yeah that's still in great shape does pop that oh it's coated dude it's just coated down the edges yeah let's go down below and let's pop the PE trap off didn't have a little bucket so I made a makeshift one out of my lunch bag and a little box I had in my car these Tu B traps are great they're pretty much just hand tight oh sometimes if you're weak like me grab a little pair of channies or in this case can iek cobras right here there's like a 38 hole going through that that's insane very clogged right this is just it's gnarly we need to clean that out you can't even see to the bottom it's open you can't see nothing completely clogged grab a little paper towel stick that down in through here so as I start pushing that down it's just cleaning the pipe and we're going to get it all cleaned out we'll grab a screwdriver to finish oh gosh that is just looks like a turd that does not look pretty dudes now we got to do the same thing for this bad boy now we're looking all nice and clear looks good some nasty parts to Home Maintenance sometimes so now we just take the P trap pop it back up in place can put a little Mega lock on it if you want to you don't have to you can see I'm not putting it here I do like to just make sure they're all hand tight everything looks good there so come back up this piece right here just make sure this little Groove is in the back put that down in place he this piece right here pop that in place before you even tighten it up you can test it and you can tell that it's working righty tighty get that tightened down remember that I move this to take it out a little bit just get that back to being straight that way it goes up and down no problem let's test her out turn on the hot and cold get back behind the sink here and we'll close the drain fill it open it oh yeah it's randing way better now get back underneath there we check it [Music] everywhere there hey looking good so you want to be careful when you're filling and testing vanities like this notice there's no overflow hole right here all right that can lead to a major issue if you walk away while you're filling this up and draining it you could have a major flood going on all right or if you think you're leaving your sink running and it ends up being stopped up well walk away and see what happens you're going to come back to a flood scenario not good everything is good to go back to normal here last thing I like to do take some paper towel stick it right down below there and then come back and check it in a day or two don't put anything back come back and check it it and if you see a leak well then we know that we got to address it sometimes it takes a little bit for one to form okay so this was not what I was planning on doing today but hey while was here figure it could make something happen and shoot a little informative video and help you guys out there as well I really hope you folks are enjoying the videos if you can please subscribe click the like button follow us over on Facebook Instagram Tik Tok we're just trying to help everywhere that we can thank you very much and we'll see you again real soon
