Quick Fix For Shower Not Getting Hot!
What happens here
Once the black plastic piece is removed, you will see a white plastic ring beneath it. This ring is composed of two interlocking pieces. Carefully separate these two pieces. One piece has internal teeth, and the other has a small tab that fits into these teeth, acting as a rotational stop. To allow for hotter water, rotate the smaller piece of the ring one or two 'clicks' so that its tab moves away from the maximum hot position, effectively increasing the range the handle can turn towards hot. The more the pieces are 'unaligned' in this way, the hotter the water will be. The presenter provides a warning that this is an anti-scald feature, and caution should be exercised, especially if there are children using the shower, to prevent burns.
Goal: Increase the maximum hot water temperature by adjusting the anti-scald feature.
