Remove Shower Handle

What happens here

Locate the set screw at the base of the shower handle. Insert the 7/64 inch Allen wrench into this screw. Turn the Allen wrench counter-clockwise to loosen the screw. Once the screw is sufficiently loose, carefully pull the shower handle straight off the valve stem. For Moen Posi-Temp valves, it is typically not necessary to turn off the main water supply to the shower for this repair.

Goal: Detach the shower handle to access the temperature limit stop.
