Painting Wood Cabinet Doors with an Airless Sprayer. Getting A Professional Glossy Finish!

What happens here

The project begins with an introduction to painting bare wood cabinet doors. The presenter highlights the use of a water-based polyurethane (PU) from Renner (specifically product 1245 with a cross-linker for enhanced durability and chemical resistance), applied with an airless sprayer (Titan 440 Impact with a 310 fine finish tip and RX Pro gun, set to 1800 PSI). The painting is conducted inside a PaintLine Portable Spray Booth, and doors will be dried on spray stands and stacks. The importance of using water-based products over flammable lacquers or oil-based options due to liability and the quality of finish is also emphasized.

Goal: Understand the project, materials, and equipment.
