OUTDOOR CHICKEN PROCESSING SETUP..EQUIPMENT DETAILS, SETUP AND PLANNING

What happens here

The presenter begins unboxing new equipment from a pallet provided by Coops N More (Rite Farm Products). He first unpacks and assembles a robust, powder-coated metal rack specifically designed to hold multiple killing cones. This rack's sturdy construction and coating are ideal for an outdoor, often wet, environment. He then reveals several galvanized killing cones from Rite Farm Products, available in various sizes (extra large, large, medium) to accommodate different bird sizes. The purpose of these cones is to humanely hold the bird upside down for dispatch and efficient bleeding, which is crucial for meat quality. He compares these to a stainless steel cone from Meyer Hatchery, noting its higher cost but superior durability and longevity, a consideration in outdoor equipment selection. The strategic placement of these cones, with buckets beneath them, is essential for maintaining hygiene and an organized flow in the outdoor processing area.

Goal: This step details the unboxing and assembly of the killing cone rack and various cones, focusing on durable materials and their placement to establish the initial, humane dispatch area within the outdoor processing design.
