What happens here

After thoroughly cleaning and removing all rust, the next step is to prepare the metal surface for painting. First, apply POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser to the entire axle assembly. This industrial-strength, water-based cleaner effectively removes any remaining oil, grease, or contaminants. After allowing the degreaser to sit for a short period, rinse it off with a pressure washer or hose. Next, apply POR-15 Metal Prep, a metal etching rust neutralizer. This product etches the metal, converting any microscopic rust into an inert phosphate layer, which is crucial for the POR-15 paint to properly adhere and provide long-lasting rust protection. Allow the Metal Prep to sit for at least 30 minutes, keeping the surface damp, then rinse thoroughly and let it dry completely.

Goal: Chemically treat the metal surface for optimal paint adhesion and rust prevention.

did getting the hang of using this camera I feel really stupid so don't make fun of me um first off after I finished cleaning this up the first step is going to be using the POR 15 Degreaser um I'm just going to spray it on there with a spray bottle I'm going to let it sit for a little bit then I'm just going to pressure wash it off and I'm going to go in there with the metal prep side note do you guys like to like listen to music while you're working on stuff I mean I know we do but we don't really get to listen to music when we're working on stuff too much unless we're like at the gym or something cuz you know copyright issues but if you were to listen to stuff or if or if we were to listen to stuff I think that I could speak for both of us that we're kind of more of like rock people we like rock music um I like really so the rear end is degreased now um so I'm going to go in with the metal prep it needs to sit on there for 30 minutes it's one of the well pretty much the key to this stuff staying on there it etches the metal so that the paint can actually stick on there I'm going to put it all over the damn rear end and let it sit for 30 minutes quick check in U this is the metal prep you can see where it's starting to work like kind of like it's not a good example let's see like these creases in here the lighting is not too great but it is what it is the areas that had less rust etch better or faster I should say but it'll all even out later it'll buff
