OUR BIGGEST FAILURE YET π¬ On Our Biggest Deck Ever!
What happens here
Integrated steps and a seating bench are framed directly into the deck structure. A small concrete slab is poured as a footing for the front side of the bench, ensuring stability. The bench is designed to align with the third step of the deck stairs, creating an 18-inch tall seating area. The framing also incorporates a design for a backrest/armrest at the elevation of the fourth riser, providing a functional surface for drinks or plates. This entire structure is built using pressure-treated lumber for durability.
Goal: Construct the framing for integrated deck stairs and a seating bench.
