Mixing and Pouring Concrete (Initial Attempt)
At 4:40 in
OUR BIGGEST FAILURE YET 😬 On Our Biggest Deck Ever!
What happens here
Bags of Quikrete concrete mix are transported onto the deck using a Bobcat to facilitate mixing. A portable electric concrete mixer is brought onto the deck, positioned over a plywood sheet to contain spills. The team then begins mixing the concrete in small batches, carefully adding water to achieve the desired consistency. The mixed concrete is poured from buckets into the prepared countertop forms and leveled. During the mixing and pouring, an electrical breaker trips, temporarily halting operations and requiring troubleshooting to resume. This highlights the stress and challenges of working with concrete, as it's a time-sensitive material.
Goal: Pour concrete into the countertop forms.
