One of my most fun 'special projects' to date!!
What happens here
Begin by clearing the designated area on your paved patio where the fire pit will be located. This involves removing existing pavers and excavating the ground as needed to create a circular space. Use a measuring tape and marking tool, such as spray paint or string, to accurately define the circular perimeter of the fire pit. Ensure any necessary utility lines, like a gas line, are in place and properly stubbed up in the center of the marked area, as shown by the metal rod and small pipe in the video. After clearing, use a garden hose to clean the area, which can also help settle any loose soil.
Goal: Prepare and mark the fire pit location on the patio.
