Constructing and Installing Formwork
At 0:04 in
One of my most fun 'special projects' to date!!
What happens here
Construct and install the necessary formwork for the concrete pour. First, place an inner cylindrical wooden form into the center of the prepared circular area. This form defines the inner cavity of the fire pit. Next, insert vertical rebar stakes around the perimeter of this inner form, pushing them firmly into the ground to provide structural reinforcement for the concrete. Then, position a larger, outer cylindrical wooden form around the inner form, creating a gap for the concrete. Secure both forms in place using clamps, screws, or other suitable fasteners to ensure they remain stable during the concrete pour. Install wooden cross-braces across the top of the outer form to maintain its circular shape and provide stability.
Goal: Create the concrete mold for the fire pit structure.
