Initiate Siphon and Water Flow
At 13:30 in
Non Stop water system..no electricity, no pump, simple and easy
What happens here
To start the siphon, the presenter removes a temporary cap from the end of the poly pipe and attempts to manually draw water up by sucking on the pipe. This proves challenging due to the long 300-foot length and 3/4-inch diameter of the poly pipe, requiring multiple attempts and significant effort. He eventually manages to draw water up by raising the pipe over a small incline and then quickly capping the end with his thumb. He then carries the filled section of pipe to the water trough and releases it, allowing the siphon to begin. He comments on the difficulty and unpleasant taste of the pond water.
Goal: Create a continuous flow of water from the pond through the poly pipe.
Tools and materials
