My Favorite New Way To Secure A Hose Bib
What happens here
Wrap the copper pipe section of the hose bib with 20 mil pipe wrap tape. The tape should cover approximately 6 inches of the pipe, extending from the base of the bevel washer towards the PEX adapter. If using 10 mil tape, apply two layers. This tape protects the copper pipe from abrasion and corrosion where it passes through the wall.
Goal: Apply protective pipe wrap tape to the copper pipe of the new hose bib to protect it as it passes through the wall.
