(5,893 characters)What's going on guys? Henny Des the Sparky here, electrician from New Jersey. Welcome back. And today I'm going to show you guys what I keep in my tool bag as an electrician. Now, let's get into the bag. Now, your tools might be different than mine. I'm mainly a residential electrician. I'm around residential environments a lot. I have here a client tools backpack, and I'm going to lay them out all one by one on this table. On the side, we have a tape measure. So for the first tool I have here is a called a 5in1 screwdriver. It carries five different heads in it. This mainly is for my Phillips and flathead. So I can actually switch out on this screwdriver if I want to use a Phillips or a flat. We have a a number two screwdriver. Okay, this is good for electrical panels. A lot of panels are square tip. So you definitely need a square tip screwdriver. I have a quarterinch nut driver, a conduit reamer. I do a lot of electric vehicle charger installs. So, reaming conduit, this is very nice. I highly recommend. Have here a right angle bit. Now, this is nice, guys, because when I'm in a residential setting, sometimes I can't get my drill in tight spaces. So, this right angle bit allows me to drill when I can't get on necessarily in that angle. We have here is a termination screwdriver. Guys, it's good to always have just, you know, versatile tools, guys. You never know. I'm a service electrician. And if you're a service electrician, you got to be able to have all the tools in your arsenal. PVC cutters. Okay, this is nice for cutting any PVC. You don't have to get a band saw. Here I have a level, guys. Probably arguably one of the most important tools. We got to make sure our outlets are are straight. Our boxes are straight. Our panels are straight. You need a level, guys. Get a level. Magnetic level. Here's client tools. Not saying any brand is bad, guys. I like client tools. I like Milwaukee. Uh these are very reliable tools. Now coming to multimeter guys, here I have here is called the Fluke T61000. And guys, this I got to say is probably the best the best electrical tester you can get. You can test amps, test voltage with this. It's your basically a twoin one and it's nice and compact. Here you can take a look guys if you want to get see this zip ties guys in my bag. You never know uh when you have to, you know, zip tie. Sometimes you can't get a staple in for your ROMX wires and residential, but zip ties are nice. You can tie wrap. I got ground tails, paddle bits, guys. I keep I have Diablo, especially drilling through wood. All sizes. I got from quarter inch to 1 in. Now, we have here these are your essentials. Ready? Diagonal cutters. You need these lineman's. Every electrician, doesn't matter what you're doing, needs a pair of lineman's. Twisting your connections, making sure they're mechanical. This is our hammer, guys. Right. This is our hammer. Right. We just go. What? Needle nose. Okay. I highly recommend every electrician have needle nose, you know, for box knockouts, for tight spaces. Channel locks. Channel locks are good, guys, because you want to, you know, get some certain connectors off. Like you need that, you need that grab to just, you know, grab a big connector. Get channel locks. These are good for services. I like to This is not a must have tool, guys, but I like to carry a pair of tin snips. All right, these are Milwaukee, but tin snips are nice, you know, to cut certain metal if you have to, you know, for like lighting fixtures or something. Here I have here is a foldable keyhole saw. Get the foldable one. This is Milwaukee. I had a normal one that didn't fold and it was just it was cutting up my backpack because of the teeth on this thing. So, I had to get a foldable one. Highly recommend. Allen key set. You need an Allen key set, guys. Don't get individual Allen keys. It's just going to cause a mess. Definitely highly recommend just to get a set. This is Klein tools and it has all these different ones, different sizes. And let's say I find the right Allen. It has a nice grip. For me, it's baby needlense. You know, let's say you just something drops or like you need to grab a wire in a tight space. Baby needlense. Wire strippers. All right. This is probably the most important or one of the most important stripping your wires. It goes anywhere from 14 gauge to 10 gauge wire. Got cable cutters. We do a lot of electric vehicle charger installs in New Jersey. So, six gauge. I like to cut wire with that. And then just some miscellaneous stuff in my tool bag, guys. So, we have all the tools out the tool bag. wire nuts, razor knife, cutting your ROMX sheathing, electrical tape, you need tape, plug-in tester. I love this plug-in tester, guys, cuz it has an LCD display to it, and it tells me what exactly is wrong with the outlet, and I got a bit box. All types of bits. All right, Phillips flathead, 3/8 nut driver, 5/16. Always good to stay versatile, guys. So, but yeah, that's pretty much my tool bag, guys. All the tools I keep in my tool bag. And had this tool bag for now about a year. And all these tools, I've used every single one of these and they don't disappoint. Let me know in the comments if you think I forgot some tools or you have any recommendations or some tools you don't think I do I don't need. But overall, like if you're thinking about becoming an electrician, I would. it's a good time to do it. Especially there's a lot of electric vehicle charger installs. Uh they're very popular now and there's a high demand for them. So, here's all the go-to tools that were in my bag, guys. So, as you can see, you know, just a recap. All the tools. Right. So, that's it for this video. Hope you guys enjoyed that one. If you guys have any questions or comments, just throw a comment, man. I read all the comments. So, Hendy the Sparky electric from New Jersey. Peace. [Music]
