Meet Uncle George! GMT400 93 Suburban: Rescue From The Weeds For a 500 Mile Road Trip! (To New Shop)

What happens here

Drive the Suburban to a nearby gas station. Insert the fuel nozzle and fill the tank with high-octane gasoline (e.g., 93 octane). Before or after fueling, pour a bottle of STP Fuel Injector Cleaner into the tank. This will help clean the fuel system and address any rough idling or misfires caused by stale fuel.

Goal: Replace old fuel and clean the fuel system for improved performance.

Tools and materials

  • Fuel Nozzle — Dispensing gasoline into the tank
  • 93 Octane Gasoline — Replacing old fuel and providing fresh combustion
  • STP Fuel Injector Cleaner STP — Cleaning the fuel injectors and system components
