LUMBER PRICES ARE CRAZY! Let's mill up this old log and make our own!

What happens here

After the log is squared (canted) and the blade is sharp, begin slicing the timber. Set the sawmill to cut 1-inch thick boards. Continue making passes, removing one board at a time. The video shows cutting two pieces of 4x4 lumber from the cant, and then proceeds to cut several 1-inch thick boards. These boards will later be processed into 6-inch boards and 3-inch battens for siding.

Goal: Produce finished lumber (4x4s, 1-inch boards) from the squared log.
