Lost Something Down Your Drain? #plumbing # #helpingothers #hacks
What happens here
To access the inside of the P-trap, you need to loosen the two large plastic coupling nuts located on either side of the U-bend. Start by hand-loosening these nuts by turning them counter-clockwise. If they are too tight or stuck, use a pair of slip-joint pliers or channel locks to provide extra leverage. Once both nuts are sufficiently loosened, carefully detach the P-trap section. Be prepared for the water held within the P-trap to drain into the container positioned below.
Goal: Safely detach the P-trap to gain access to its interior.
