What happens here

This video demonstrates how to extend a wall-mounted shower arm for optimal shower height by replacing the existing arm with a longer one. The process involves safely removing the old shower head and arm, preparing the new arm with Teflon tape and pipe dope, installing the new arm and escutcheon, and finally attaching and testing the new shower head.

If you're standing here, and you're like this, and you're like boom, boom, boom, because the shower head is spraying right into your mouth. We'll grab in a just little jaw counterclockwise. Instead of just taking a wrench and marring everything, it gives you enough leverage and spin that right out. Like bam, it's gonna be hooked right up. We're gonna put some Teflon and some pipe dope on this side. You don't wanna get pipe dope all over this thing. Get a little pipe dope on there. It's kinda got a built in handle on it. Make sure it's all hooked up here. So now we're up to the height that we want, and we're just gonna install our new shower head. Get that started. And then we'll just take our adjustable jaw. We'll just tighten it up. And so then we just, we wanna have a look back here. All is dry. All I see back there is some pipe dope. And we're good to rock and roll.
