Leaking Tub Spout? How to Fix a Dripping Bathtub Faucet FAST (DIY Plumbing Repair)

What happens here

After the new stems are installed, place the chrome escutcheons back over the stems and twist them clockwise to hand-tighten. Make sure the escutcheons are seated properly and then align the handle extensions (if applicable) and push the handles back onto the stems. Secure each handle with its retaining screw using a Phillips head screwdriver, making sure they are snug but not overly tight. Turn the main water supply back on slowly and test both the hot and cold water sides of the faucet to ensure there are no drips from the spout and that the handles operate smoothly.

Goal: Reassemble the faucet components and confirm the leak is resolved.
