What happens here

After preparing the trench for the dry creek bed, a heavy-duty woven geotextile fabric is unrolled and laid down along the bottom and sides of the trench. This fabric prevents soil erosion and weed growth while allowing water to drain. White river rock, approximately 8 cubic yards, is then carefully dumped from a dump truck onto the prepared fabric. The Cat skid loader with its bucket is used to evenly spread the river rock, ensuring complete coverage of the fabric. The crew also manually adjusts the rock placement, adding larger 'character' stones to give the creek bed a naturalistic appearance and filling any visible gaps in the fabric with smaller stones. This process is done in sections to avoid driving on the fabric.

Goal: Construct the dry creek bed with proper drainage and aesthetic appeal.
