Prime and Paint Kitchen
At 1:11 in
Kitchen Makeover + FINAL FINISHES (EP.5)
What happens here
After all drywall patches and custom hood trim are installed and smoothed, prepare the areas for painting. Use a paint sprayer (e.g., Wagner Control Spray Max) to apply a coat of primer to the hood cover, patched ceiling areas, and any new trim. Allow the primer to dry completely. Once the primer is dry, apply two coats of high-quality white paint (e.g., Benjamin Moore Regal Select Eggshell Finish) to all primed surfaces, as well as the surrounding walls and ceiling. Use a paint roller with an extension pole for large areas and a paintbrush for edges and corners to ensure even coverage. Continue painting the entire kitchen to achieve a bright, cohesive look.
Goal: Apply primer and paint to all new and existing kitchen surfaces.
