Kitchen Makeover + FINAL FINISHES (EP.5)

What happens here

Begin by using a drywall saw to cut circular holes for the new electrical boxes for the sconce lights. Then, use an oscillating multi-tool, such as the Ryobi JobPlus Base, to carefully cut out the existing rectangular vent opening that was previously used for the microwave, as it needs to be repositioned higher. Next, cut a new circular hole for an electrical junction box for the sconce light wiring. Use a drill to secure a blue electrical box into the new sconce light hole. Drill another hole above the old vent opening to run new electrical wiring for the raised range hood vent and sconces. Feed the yellow electrical wire through the new holes and use a utility knife to strip the ends. Ensure the wires are ready for connection. Repeat for all necessary electrical points.

Goal: Create and prepare all necessary wall openings for new electrical and vent placements.
