Buck and Load Logs

What happens here

Once logs are pulled to a more accessible area, the team uses chainsaws to buck (cut into shorter lengths) and de-limb them. The men operate both the blue Holzfforma G660 and the smaller red Chainsaw 2500 for this task. The cut logs are then loaded into the large dump trailer using the skid steer's grapple bucket. This process is repeated until a significant portion of the logs are prepared for transport.

Goal: Felled logs are cut into smaller, manageable pieces using chainsaws and then loaded onto a dump trailer with the skid steer.
