Deep Woods, Deep Snow & Cheap Chainsaws

all right guys we are in for one bumpy ride all right we're gonna head up north 100 miles and film the cheap chinese chainsaw but just to get out into the woods means we need an asb and a bunch of other equipment rule of thumb is don't smack yourself in the nuts when you're doing this all right guys i'm going to be watching this along with you for the very first time we need one strap in the back too right sam yeah i'm just trying to get these so i can get at these freaking d-rings all right well we made it up north let's see what we're going to be dealing with today hey siri what's the temp out see it took me about an hour and a half to get up here and every single one of my waters but before we do that let's walk down see zach alex and frankie because we're all going to be working together and the way we're going to be testing these things is we're going to just get some testimonials and we're going to do it the old-fashioned way we're going to work the hell out of them and see how they hold up if it works and holds up to my day-to-day abuse and then i can really work them hard then it hopefully will be good enough for you but let's try to thaw these out and go down and see how the boys are doing in the other place so got left at home behind and basically what that means is it's alex frankie and myself with zach out in the woods with no adult supervision all right guys i want to introduce you to the team that we're going to be working with today we've got zach alex and frankie the beast what are we going to be working with today zack these are your babies right they were a good cost for the i was looking into getting chainsaws and i know steel i was looking at steals and then i found that these ones were a quarter of the price for the same thing as the steals are they really a quarter of the price because i think they're a fraction of the price well yeah a fraction of the price compared to because this this one is equal to this is called the g660 right zach yes but it's equivalent to steel's ms-660 and the steel ms660 i think goes for how much do you know i think you're looking at least a couple grand at least and this was 369 i found it on amazon just the powerhead not the bar and chain so what are you experiencing when you're using them good results bad results in between it works great until you it starts getting an empty tank on her then she'll start like accelerating de-accelerating and just kind of kind of acting quirky but it's just because she started fuel well one of the things that guys that i started to read the reviews on what they're saying is some guys swear by these some guys are having problems with them overheating unfortunately today i don't think we're going to be able to test the overheating thing i've never been able to overheat them um they're meant to be used and abused okay well that's what our game plan is for you guys that aren't familiar with this brand they claim that the their parts are actually interchangeable with steel and husqvarna we don't have a stealing husqvarna that we can pull apart and interchange them so i'm just going to rely on what they say on their website and on amazon you can check that out but i'm gonna ask you guys to do me a favor i know some of you guys run these things i know some of you guys are experiencing and if you could share your experiences in the comments down below because other people this may be a viable option or it may be a big waste of money for some people and i want to make sure before we're done with this we're getting a full round of opinions not just from us but from everybody out there that's had a chance to run one of these things and we've got frankie down on the ground making sure that everything is set what are you doing frankie i'm just sharpening my chain marking it so i can end so i know where to end okay so we're making sure that before we head out every chain is sharp so that so that won't be a factor in today's video what's going to be a factor is we're just going to see what happens we're going to see if it can hold up to what we're going to throw at it i just got the 25 because the i don't really need a big big bar but i wanted to have that that's a nice looking chainsaw dude that is a nice looking chain this one i got off of their website it along with the hardness was it when i first ordered it because they didn't have the gear the sprocket knows okay all right let's go to work alex doesn't have a good feeling about [Applause] the truck and the this alex you need to stay in the truck thank you zach i need you on this side so i know where you're at don't stand in front of the camera so the truck couldn't make it up this hill which should have been our first sign of the way the rest of this video is going to go literally the truck couldn't pull me up the hill so i had to back down backing down a hill alex was a little max damn now she's squirting now if we just give up on it it's up yeah i think this is the third hose that i've i've lost in three days just kept squirting out so i'm gonna stick the bucket in the back we'll just bring this out like this i don't even know if this is gonna be any good hopefully we don't lose any hydraulic more hydraulic fluid out of her look at her she's leaking right now though alex we're going to lose all the hydraulic oil out of the machine if we try to run it all day long [Music] we could strap it up zach there's a strap in the back of the truck you want to grab that and we'll just strap these up and then we don't have to worry about them dip them together oh the hoses yeah [Music] yeah let's zip them and i really wanted to use that grapple to be able to grab the logs and lift them up into place so we could zip zip zip them but these negative temperatures everything i mean i just correct me if i'm wrong but the colder it gets the harder just normal work becomes oh drink of the day this one's wild you guys it's not water for once it's vanilla coca-cola with coffee yes i had a sip of this once before hey before i plow all the way out to the bridge should we just see if you guys can make it with what i got so far i'll i'll back i'll be right in front of you i'm gonna back down the trail you come follow right behind me right yeah you follow alex alex you follow i got a spot for you to turn around but i'm just gonna have you park because if the if we can handle the road okay i'm gonna go all the way to the bridge then [Music] so pert much gave up on using the log bucket because i just those i couldn't depend on those arms to go up and down so from this point i'm going to be depending on good old trusty dirt bucket and the reason i have a dirt bucket and not a snow bucket is because i brought everything up in the dirt monkey trailer and it's not wide enough for my dirt bucket which is 96 inches i can get this 72 inch in just fine [Music] any sketchy spots yeah right the corner that little dip there where there was a little split in the road yeah did she get a little stuck not a little stuck but i just felt it kind of go like this as i came into it but i had the speed going see this is what we got no tires yeah the back right one is the worst one all right where's frankie cause we got wood over here we could harvest but i think he wants to go take the long hike to harvest he's got good tires but no two-wheel drive because he hit a deer and knocked it out of his truck how does that work we got tires and four-wheel drive and you got good tires and two-wheel drive we just make a lot of sense that's that's polish pride right there give me 10 minutes i'll go i'll cut a path because it'd be a lot faster to have you cut a path than i mean but when you get down towards the bridge you know where we parked before making turn around there for him yeah we're not going over the bridge no no okay all right i'll come back and get you okay i smell a skunk i get did i guys ever tell you the story about frankie and i were at that hoarder's farm and we pushed over one of the sheds because we had to get rid of the sheds push the shed over seven skunks i've never seen seven skunks all came out running out spraying everything and i was in the bobcat t-180 and that cab's not sealed or pressurized and i'm just sitting in the cabin i didn't see him at first and i'm like what is that smell and then they're all running over and lucy my coonhound she's pawn at her face running the other way thankfully oh that bobcat still smells to this day not that bad though actually i don't mind the smell of stuff to be quite honest with you i don't like it when it's like right in your face but i don't mind it otherwise all right so we got a clear path that way let's do it now don't put your blade all the way on the ground cause it's gonna beep too much for you yeah go ahead put her down a little bit i'll kind of help you get her tuned in little up yeah that that's gonna be yeah there's there's a lot of this going on out there [Music] now this is all just to test out these cheap chineseium chainsaws but i'll tell you we had fun oh man do we have fun you know it's just four good old country boys out and just giving it heck there's one point in this video where i just had no common sense i should i was just like outside of my own body watching it going what the heck is gonna happen next seriously it was just so surreal i'm just standing there going oh he's going for it again and i didn't even realize it's in my truck it's just because it was so fascinating to watch the process and then you kind of snap out of it and you're like oh wait a minute it was fun though we have some fun [Music] i think frankie needs a red ribbon invite or what is he waiting for i don't know he might not want to come down here we got a skid loader cat makes the best some of the best equipment with the worst doors they make some cat make some of the best equipment with the worst doors there we go eight times charms [Laughter] oh you guys we gotta do the door count let's see what's the highest amount of i get before i finally get her to are we all topped off yeah all my sides should be refilled frankie did we put your fuel in in these saws because i oh yeah if we did yeah i got pool whatever okay boom right there what do you mix your fuel at uh 25 to 1 because that's what they're recommending for braking 25 to 1 seems pretty once you get them broken they say a lot of people want them at 40 to 1 yeah one but i i want to get another one in between these two and i don't want to change my fuels yet okay okay so are you saying these aren't really broken no this one's broken fully and that one's had about three four or five tanks through it okay so we're gonna skid these all the way over to the truck zach grab that this never slips what he's doing right here cinch is good dude we pulled out i can't tell you days of trees this way without losing i think we lost one when you tried to do it around two and you didn't have a good bite two or three yeah yeah pale of them that tail in the street might come by so we're cutting everything over there yeah i think we're gonna drag him out over there because we're throwing them right into the trailer right here and then uh leave my saw here in case i gotta cut something the chain is way too long too long i can't maneuver it i need a tighter bite so i can control it when i can get creeped right up onto that log i can actually kind of maneuver it a little bit but not when the chain's that long maneuver it just a little bit [Music] oh sex sure does make a lot of grunting sounds when he's holding the camera it's hard to work with one hand he's not used to holding the camera there we go got a good wrap on the chain i'm gonna drag it across the bridge around the corner get it up between the two trucks and roll it closest towards frankie's truck so that i can get the rest of the logs lined up like legos ding ding ding ding ding ding which is gracious [Music] so then i challenged the boys to see if they could duplicate frankie's knot after only seeing it one time this guy this was funny it took a few tries but they got it they got it and my pocket just fell off just like that i'm like what the heck i know what happens if you get snow and ice underneath that bucket and then the latch can't fully connect through the hole so one will connect and the other will just freeze into place that's how that actually happens in the wintertime summertime it can happen to like if you get a rock or real hard pack mud that doesn't allow the latches to go down into the holes [Music] the drink of the day this stuff is amazing it's coca-cola vanilla with coffee coffee yes and it's flipping awesome but i'm gonna qualify that i also love to mix chocolate with coke i love i love just taking straight chocolate mix it in the coke and drinking it and that's so good so this is a rare treat and this is delicious steer we're just breaking your chain now [Music] frankie loves steel chain sauce he does he really does love steel chain sauce so i really wanted frankie to be the guy to put his hands on these knockoff panels so once frankie's into something man you just let him complete his task wow [Music] [Laughter] [Applause] [Music] ah [Music] that's a pretty good amount of wood right here these streets yeah but that would get the one kind of cleanup out there that's down the hill we don't have to get that lean out but there's there's two there that we'll get them out and block them or cut them up might be a load so zach figures he's got it so this is his first attempt [Music] and yep here's the plan after we get these drugs out to go start cutting them up yeah yeah getting these ones and then frankie wants to get like one log out of that little pile right there okay so it's dry you might you want to do that before we start cutting these up i think you want he wants to get these out and that went out and then i think we're gonna start cutting cutting okay [Music] twofer [Music] i wanted to grab both of them she just got in a little bit fast but you can't move at that point as soon as a guy gets into that danger zone you gotta freeze no matter what as an operator you're just like nope nope no indicators no movement hands off the controls why is that funny i don't know it is it's funny [Music] sick oh is that a sprinkler i'm using the cat there's a camera in the cat and i'm using that to go bass backwards because you can't see any other way so it's a little like playing a video game like i got to keep an eye on that log in front of me and i got to keep an eye on the camera to go pass backwards the same time it's actually kind of fun [Applause] [Music] now alex is in the danger zone so my hands are boom off the controls waiting for him i'm not even resting nero [Music] dang that seemed close to alex oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so what do you guys think of how the engine sounds see this is where i would have really liked to have that log grapple grab that log pick it up i got the logs off the ground we're not cutting near the dirt it would have just been so nice with the dirt bucket it's pretty tough pretty tough [Music] [Applause] it's just going wow that was through a knot [Applause] [Music] so guys that was about as close as i could get to uh hoping to make it feel like you guys were really running it and these videos are best viewed in 4k and uh on a big screen because that's the way i film it for you guys [Applause] oh [Applause] [Music] well all right you guys
