all right guys we got a jam-packed one today because we are going out snow plowing good morning everyone it's five o'clock and today we're going out snowplowing but it's gonna be a little different than normal because we normally plow at night and this snow isn't going to hit till the daytime so we're going to be playing frogger that means we're going to be putting the crews out in the lots while the cars are coming in which is not something i like to do because it's an accident waiting to happen but we're doing it because we've got to keep the drive lanes cleared enough so that the cars can safely get in and out so i'm going to have a safety meeting with the boys before we get started and then we're just going to see how the day goes so let's get this show on the road check it out i've got the brand new heineker scoop plow my baby is back and they've got they've updated the headlights that's pretty cool leds who doesn't like those and they've got heat strips on them so they don't freeze up on you let's roll [Music] so with this new heineker scoop plow it's a little different than my old snow dog i've got to actually carry it lower to make sure enough air gets into the engine of the truck because this one will overheat my pickup pretty fast if i lift it all the way up and just go down the road and don't think anything more about it but today is going to be different because we're going to be done okay so we are on the defensive so to sum up our safety meeting typically we plow at night but since we're going to be plowing during the day i just told the boys to have their head on a swivel and this one this is a true story just down the road from here we have a complex that we call crackhead square i think the real name of it was scott square or something like it it was filled it was the worst part of a very good neighborhood that you could ever have in fact it was so bad that the police put in a separate outlaw or facility and office inside of this apartment complex because they had so many issues and what we learned is while we were snow plowing there the people would as you're going forward and backward they'd come and pull right behind you and park hoping that you wouldn't see them so you would crunch hit them and then they'd get a whole bunch of lawsuits and claims out of it so you learn pretty fast to plow on the defensive and not on the offensive and that's the way we typically snow plow anyway but sometimes you know you can see we don't have a whole lot of traffic and the boys get a little complacent and that's just another fancy word for lazy and quit looking and so today i know the traffic's gonna be coming in and out and moseying around and i want these boys to just keep their head on a swivel so [Music] so this snowstorm actually came in so fast it came in the day i got my heineker scoop plow put on and you some of you guys may have seen the video where we stick the scoop plow versus the bee plow i didn't even have a chance to get my backpack put back on so this is a new one for me plowing without a bat plow still haven't gotten our arctics fixed yet but we ordered the supplies they'll be here soon and so actually what we found out is that we ordered new cutting edges and blades but they sent us a weighted slip hitch and so if you guys it's supposed to make the arctic stick even better to the lot especially around tight areas well we're gonna install that and put it into a test on an abandoned lot and that's coming up probably next week i think so [Music] it's kind of nice once you start to work with a guy you can kind of figure out the way they think and man does that speed things up because you're not doing hand signals you're not calling each other you're just working together in unison by saying nothing at it all a little bit to get there but i'm guessing some of you guys know what i'm talking about but what a difference that makes what a difference doesn't it i know i know what some of you guys are thinking well why did you go with a scoop plow honestly i love the simplicity and it's just this heineker scoop plow i had one before and it just delivered it did everything i needed to do in a very easy format i like simple and effective that's it that's why i went back with it let's get this out of the way though our snowed bunker we built a snowbunker oh the backhoe needs a little work to do the backhoe paid for itself like 20 years ago oh dude the backhoe's earned its place in my fleet the bat code needs to get updated oh dude oh check out the freaking sidewalk guy has he already done the sidewalk i can't see i know some of you guys want more info on this guy so let's see if we can't do that for you sidewalk guy in his atv is the best stop becca there we go there he is is the man the myth the sidewalk plowing legend that guy gets so much done on that it's incredible it only angles one way guys that's the way you just seen it let's put you on this machine let's see if we can do that all right guys we're going plowing with alden for a moment let's hop on the four-wheeler listen to it roll and see what happens all right there you go so he's used the same yamaha i think it's a grizzly atv for the last four or five years he's owned it as long as i've known him and this is a moose country plow and he goes through three or four cutting edges a year or more he plows miles and miles of sidewalks with this setup in about roughly two hours thank you sir good time appreciate it have a good one eldon that man does not slow down [Music] look at him fly you know it's not just about plow time but it's the travel speed in between he doesn't damage turf and grass he can cut across these things and uh i mean it's just it just if it ain't broke don't fix it right then if it works then i don't know it's simple and it works kind of like my plow maybe i'm getting old [Music] this was another odd snowstorm you guys it was right at that weird it was warm when it started that's why everything's wet and then the temps just went and now for the last 11 or 12 days today it's negative 16 out [Music] and it's just been going down i mean it's just stayed [Music] frozen sam's in his awesome sexy vehicle the asv lucky if you'll ever get him out of that we put in to the new loader that we built the snow bunker with [Music] so we're testing that out snow plowing and building a snow bunker this is honestly one of the toughest areas to plow because of that incline just we're always slipping and sliding right in there he does not have the pusher with the slot siding sliding sideways not all right guys let's go in a tight area on a big machine so jake is running a pro-tec fusion edge pusher and if you watch it's designed to ride separately from the machine just like our arctics do so this will help this contour better to the ground and not you know if it's was stuck solid rigid to the frame of the machine as the machine went up and down it could raise and lower them lift arms if he didn't have the machine in flow but this the pusher itself was foreign [Music] so that was a refueling pit stop you seen there you know that's one of the things if anybody was gonna say hey you know what that permanent scoop position you're not gonna be able to get close up on the curbs oh there you go that's how i do it now i could come if i had a long run here i just come in and drink but i don't have a long run so i'm not gonna go drink but anyway when we did the snowplow truck race the v-plow versus the scoop plow that's when i seen that for the first time how well this scoop plow just rolls the snow don't lose any of it it just rolls it jake's having a heck of a time with traction hey jake i'm gonna work with you in this lot we'll get this one full push as much as we can so we only gotta touch it up tonight all right let's do that [Music] see how tight jake can just cut that with that sledge [Music] so let's see how will and zach are doing well we got done a little early with our other stuff so we'll see these guys are up too how's it going guys you got apache all done uh yeah front sidewalk too oh you guys are flying all right this account i don't know what to say about it there's always cars in here and never anywhere to pile snow got a hydrant there that's where we're supposed to pile snow here you can get maybe one or two pushes before this area is filled up and you know we can't pile snow around hydrants so it's always always where do you put snow and this is the way the count always is all right you guys let's have some fun and i don't know we'll do a lot of maneuvering that's for [Applause] [Music] all right you guys i think that's a wrap for this one we got to get all the equipment parked and put away and everything tucked in so that we can keep uh keep our gear protected but we'll do that and we'll let you go about your merry way hope you guys enjoyed today's show hope you had fun riding along with us and snow plowing and fighting this blizzard and hopefully we'll see you on another one hit that thumbs up button hit that uh subscribe button if you wouldn't mind and as always i appreciate you commenting down below you guys you're just the best thank you guys god bless go get em you guys we'll see you on another one all right you guys we got plenty coming at you down the pipeline so make sure you guys stick around if you haven't already checked out the building the snow bunker video that's pretty cool um we've got a brand new italian veneeri loader that we test out it's a telescoping articulating loader and it's big and we put it through the test breaking up frozen banks of ice and snow that's coming down the pipeline we'll have hopefully a new banner uh coming from lmn you guys are familiar with uh lmn i work with these guys they help sponsor the channel help me be able to bring content to you guys and it is one of those companies where i get a lot of questions hey how do i get started in this how do i do that how do i manage these projects and that's honestly what all lmn does it really is a phenomenal tool for contractors to help them micro dial their business in get their numbers finessed right where they need to be i got a lot of great things to say about them i highly recommend you go checking them out really it's a good resource for contractors i wouldn't recommend it if i wasn't really happy with it myself so we got that and that's it for today hopefully we'll see you guys on another one god bless you guys go get em and uh come back another time
