Installing A Waterproof Ceiling On a Deck!
What happens here
Begin by organizing the Adorn mortarless stone veneer pieces, separating corner units from flat pieces. It is recommended to start with the corner units. Place the first corner piece at the bottom of the wall, ensuring it is perfectly level using a spirit level. Secure the stone veneer using a drill, driving screws through the embedded flange on the back of each piece into the plywood sheathing. Continue installing the first row of corner pieces, ensuring they fit together snugly. If the wall does not have a natural ledge to start from, temporarily screw a 2x4 ledger board to the wall at a level height and use it as a base for the first row. After installing the corners, snap a chalk line along the top of the first row to guide the installation of the flat pieces, maintaining consistent alignment. When installing flat panels, ensure three screws per panel, with at least one screw going into a wall stud for structural integrity. Continue building up the rows of stone veneer, interlocking pieces as you go.
Goal: Install Adorn mortarless stone veneer (Granite Stone, Birch color) on the outdoor kitchen wall, starting with corner pieces and ensuring a level first row.
