Installing A Clear PERGOLA COVER, and Building The Secret Garden!
What happens here
The crew begins preparing the area for the fire pit and secret garden. This involves compacting the soil using a vibrating plate compactor to create a stable base. Next, they use a power auger mounted on a compact utility loader (Dingo TX-1000) to dig precise holes for the structural posts. Measurements are taken repeatedly with a tape measure to ensure correct positioning and depth of the holes. Temporary marking flags are used to denote locations, and string lines help maintain alignment. The posts are then carefully placed into the dug holes, leveled with a large spirit level, and temporarily braced with wooden supports. Dry concrete mix is poured around the base of each post to provide immediate stability, followed by tamping soil around the concrete for compaction.
Goal: Crew members prepare the ground by compacting the soil and digging holes for the pergola posts in the designated fire pit area, ensuring precise measurements and proper leveling before placing the posts.
