What happens here
Lightweight hollow concrete blocks are dry-stacked around the perimeter of the cured fire pit base. These blocks are then reinforced by drilling special screws into them to create a sturdy wall structure. A custom wooden formwork is built around the top of these stacked blocks, designed to create a concrete countertop. This formwork incorporates a central opening, precisely sized for the fire pit's burner element. The area within the formwork, including the opening for the burner, is then filled with concrete, which is smoothed and finished to create a seamless, integrated countertop. The process ensures the fire pit is built to house a propane burner and tank with appropriate access.
Goal: Hollow concrete blocks are dry-stacked to form the fire pit walls, secured with specialized screws, and a custom wooden formwork is built around them for pouring a concrete countertop with a central burner opening.
