How to PAINT a Wood Sign Quick & Easy
What happens here
Once the blue paint on the Ford logo is completely dry, you can begin the sanding process. Use an orbital sander (3x4 sander) fitted with 80-grit sandpaper (Ekasand pads) to gently sand the top surface of the raised letters. The goal is to remove the cream metallic paint from the top of the letters, exposing the lighter wood underneath. After sanding, use a brush and a vacuum to thoroughly remove all dust and debris from the sign, ensuring the surface is clean for the next step.
Goal: Reveal the original wood on the raised letters by sanding off the cream paint.
