How to PAINT a Wood Sign Quick & Easy
What happens here
Now, it's time to paint the main lettering. Since the background for the letters is the original wood color, simply load a small foam roller with brown metallic spray paint (sprayed into a paint pan). Carefully roll over the top surface of the raised 'POWERSTROKE PARKING ONLY' letters, applying light and even pressure. For the smaller letters 'LU 291' and 'F350', repeat the process with silver metallic spray paint, using a separate foam roller and paint pan. This method is much faster and easier than hand-brushing each letter. Finally, to add a contrasting border, use a small roller to apply flat black paint to the outer edges of the entire sign.
Goal: Apply brown paint to main letters, silver to small letters, and black to the border.
