Wet Sanding the Run

What happens here

After scraping, the next step is to wet sand the remaining paint run. Dip a 3M medium sanding sponge into the bucket of water, wring out any excess water to ensure it's damp but not dripping, and then begin sanding the affected area. It is important to keep the sponge consistently wet throughout this process to prevent the paint from gumming up and to facilitate smooth material removal. Once sanded, wipe the area clean with a rag and carefully check for any remaining deep pockets or imperfections by feel.
