How NOT to build a Retaining wall
What happens here
A Kubota R30 loader is used to precisely dump a layer of 3/4 inch clear, angular rock into the trench, creating the initial base layer for the retaining wall. Workers then use shovels and rakes to evenly spread the aggregate, ensuring a consistent 6-inch lift. Following this, a vibratory plate compactor (Wacker brand) is used to thoroughly compact the angular rock, creating a dense and stable foundation for the first course of blocks.
Goal: Create a stable and compacted base layer for the retaining wall.
