What happens here

Strategize your installation by starting in more difficult areas of the room and working towards easier, more open sections. If you encounter a situation where you need to reverse your installation direction—for instance, when you've installed a run of boards and now need to install into the groove side—you can use a 'spline.' A spline is a strip of wood inserted into the groove of a board, effectively creating a new tongue on that side. This allows you to continue installing in the opposite direction from that point, working off the newly created tongue.

Goal: Effectively change installation direction to navigate complex room layouts.
