Hand Built in America! Brush Hog Attachment for your tractor!

What happens here

Next, the video demonstrates a quality control process for the machine's electrical system, involving a custom control panel with 'start' and 'stop' buttons. A worker connects a solenoid to this panel and shows how pressing the start button actuates a hydraulic valve (motor in/out). This highlights the system's checks and balances, ensuring all electrical components function correctly before being installed in the brush cutters. The presenter also showcases various mechanical components of the brush cutter, including different sizes of hydraulic pumps (for 5.5-8.5HP, 9-15HP, and 15-20HP tractors), a sleeve, a shaft, and the final hub assembly that holds the cutter blades. The presenter emphasizes that all these components are made in the USA.

Goal: Verify proper electrical system function and understand key mechanical components

Tools and materials

  • Control Panel Lane Shark — Testing electrical components and solenoids
  • Cutter Blades — Cutting brush (hardened steel, flippable)
  • Hub Assembly — Mounting the cutter blades
  • Hydraulic Pumps Eaton — Providing hydraulic power to the cutter
  • Shaft — Transmitting power to the cutting hub
  • Sleeve — Connecting the pump to the shaft
  • Solenoid Lane Shark — To demonstrate valve actuation

other end very very simple so why I'm here is volunteered to hook us up a switch to a solenoid just to show you exactly how this works in case you want one of these for one of your tractors those stop button stays on all the time so whenever you go to kick your leg short and that's all you got to do knock it off now if you hit just one button show us what it does is there anything and what you're doing when you hit that button is actuated the valve which is right here yep again folks lots of checks and balances each one of these gets tested to make sure it works before it gets to you this is an American Dream that started out in somebody's garage and now has gone from being a prototype in somebody's garage to being a full-fledged business just a good old boy place to work I can tell now everything's in green so green stands out so when you see that big green brush cutter on the front of your tractor you know it's a Land Shark for sure before we head over to the factory portion that since we're any offices right now they had a few of these parts laying around and I wanted to show you the parts that we have here okay so these are the three different pumps again all made in the USA everything you see here is made in the USA by American workers this is the pump for the smaller horsepower tractor five and a half to eight and a half this is the pump that would run the nine to fifteen and this is the pump that would run the fifteen to twenty gallon so there's not a whole lot of difference in the size but the capabilities of this pump are a little bit stronger now this is the sleeve that connects it to a shaft and that is all built-in right here to this this is actually a hub that you'll see here this is the final assembly that would mount your cutter blades here and these are similar to a standard bush hog type cutting blade except for you could flip these blades over and use them without having to sharpen them every time so this is a nice hardened steel if you were to get into a rock or something like that all you'd have to do is simply unbolt the blade flip it over and you're ready to go again pretty cool these are all the parts just kind of laid out for you guys to understand how all this works let's go to the factory man have some fun
