What happens here
With the base and retaining wall in place, begin laying the pavers. Start from a fixed point, such as an existing structure or a straight edge of the patio, working your way outwards. Place each paver directly onto the screeded sand bed, making sure to maintain consistent joint lines (usually about 1/8 inch wide) between them. Use spacers if necessary for uniform joint width. Gently tap each paver with a rubber mallet to help it settle firmly into the sand. Continuously check the level of the pavers using a level and ensure the correct slope is maintained for drainage. For edges or curved sections, pavers may need to be cut using a paver saw or splitter to fit precisely. Wear appropriate safety gear when cutting pavers.
Goal: Lay all pavers on the prepared sand bed, maintaining proper alignment and levelness.
